You can apply online at this link:BECOME A MEMBER. If you prefer, our Member Service Representatives can assist you in person — they have all the necessary forms and will be happy to complete them for you. Simply let them know how you’d like your funds distributed and sign your name. Marshland Credit Union will handle the rest.

To add a joint owner you will need to complete a new signature card, which you and the joint owner sign where indicated. To remove a joint owner, all joint owners of the account need to agree to the removal, or the account can be closed and remaining joint owners may open a new account.

A valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
Your Social Security number.
Proof of current address, if it’s not listed on your ID (such as a recent utility bill or lease agreement).
An initial deposit to purchase your share in the credit union, which establishes your membership.

Loans & Credit

For your convenience, there are several ways to apply for a loan. You can apply online using this link. If you prefer to visit us in person, stop by any of our four branches — our Member Service Representatives or Loan Officers will be happy to help you complete your application. You can also call us at 912-279-2000 to apply over the phone.
For any future loans, you’ll only need to update your information, which can be done at any Marshland branch, over the phone, or online.

You can apply for a loan as soon as you become a member. There are no membership length requirements to qualify.

We offer a broad selection of loan types to meet the needs of members — from everyday expenses to big-life purchases. Here are the main options:
Auto & Recreational Vehicle Loans — Financing for new and used cars, trucks, SUVs; plus recreational vehicles like motorcycles, ATVs, boats, travel trailers, motorhomes, and more.
Personal Loans / Personal Term Loans — Loans for a variety of needs: debt consolidation, unexpected expenses, home improvements, vacations, education expenses, or personal projects. They also offer “Share-Secured” loans, where you use your savings deposit as collateral.
Share-Secured Loans — A loan secured by a deposit you hold with Marshland Credit Union (a savings account or certificate). This can be a good way to borrow money while keeping your savings working for you.
Mortgages (Home Loans) — Including home purchase loans, home construction loans, refinances, and loans for primary residences, second homes, vacation homes, or investment properties. Programs include adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs), and Marshland offers competitive rates and customized terms.
Business Loans — Loans and financing solutions for businesses, including commercial real estate, equipment financing, commercial vehicles, and more — with flexible terms tailored to business needs.
Credit Cards — Unsecured credit cards for members, with competitive interest rates.

Your paycheck stub serves as your permanent record. You can also check your balance anytime using MarshLine, our Audio Response Teller, or MarshNet, our Online Banking service.

You can change your payroll deduction in two ways. You may contact your company’s payroll department to request the change, or, if you already have a payroll deduction set up, you can visit a Member Service Representative at any Marshland branch, and they’ll be happy to help you make the update.

On your desktop:
Log in to Online Banking from your desktop or laptop.
Select “Transfers” from the main navigation menu.
Choose the account you want to transfer from and the account you want to transfer to (including any external accounts you’ve already linked).
Enter the transfer amount.
Under Frequency, choose “Recurring.”
Select your preferred schedule (such as weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly), and set your start date and end date if desired.
Review your transfer details and click “Submit” or “Confirm” to finalize.
For automatic loan payments, simply select your loan as the destination account.On you mobile app:
Open the Mobile App and sign in to your account.
Tap the “+” icon.
Tap “Transfer Money.”
Choose the account to transfer from and the account to transfer to (this can be another account you own or an external account you’ve already added).
Enter the transfer amount.
Under Frequency, select “Recurring” (options typically include weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.).
Set your start date and, if needed, an end date.
Review your details and tap “Submit” or “Confirm.”
For automatic loan payments, follow the same steps—just select your loan as the destination account.

An Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) looks like an ATM but offers even more convenience. With an ITM, you can complete most of the same transactions you would inside a branch — including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries — all with the help of a live Marshland employee through a video connection.
